The Difference Between Digital Art and Graphic Design

Digital art and graphic design are both commonly used to describe the type of art created by software, such as Photoshop and Illustrator. While both terms can easily be used interchangeably, there is a slight difference in what they each represent.

Digital art simply refers to art that is created using technology or computer software. Any type of design or artwork that is illustrated using media is generally classified as digital art. Graphic Design Definition

On the other hand, graphic design refers to the process of incorporating different types of elements, such as colors and symbols, into one design. It makes use of digital art but tends to create a more detailed image or combination of images. Graphic design usually incorporates a message or some information in the form of text.
