It’s still winter for many, with February still bringing in low temperatures, cold fronts and snow. This includes the ever-popular snowflakes (often incorporated into winter-inspired designs), which are formed in these conditions. Snowflakes are ice crystals that are uniquely made as each one has its own distinct shape.

Winter and Snowflake Formation
Snowflakes are formed due to water droplets that condenses on particles like dust or pollen, creating an ice crystal. Depending on the temperature and other conditions, they may take various shapes. The snowflake continues to grow and form its shape as it falls since it comes into contact with more water vapor along the way. This then creates the six parts, or arms, of the snowflake which are commonly seen on snowflake designs.
