Easy Costume Ideas If You’re a Fan of Disney

Whether you’re looking for kids costumes or you’re a Disney adult yourself, there are many options when it comes to Halloween. From the classic movies to today’s new releases, kids and adults can celebrate Halloween by showing their love for Disney.

Last-Minute Disney Costume Ideas

You don’t necessarily have to buy a new costume to go as a Disney character, you can also create do-it-yourself looks. Think about it, with all the movies out there, there are plenty of characters that wear everyday clothes… some of which you may already have. Here are a few basic Disney costumes ideas to consider:

  • Boo (Monster’s Inc): A simple extra large pink t-shirt paired with two pigtails will easily do the trick for this costume!
  • Captain Hook (Peter Pan): Technically, any pirate costume will do, but you’ll need to signature a hat and a hook of course!
  • Linguini (Ratatouille): You just need a chef’s hat and an apron to complete the look! Find a creative way to add in a little mouse (clip art or stuffed animal) to match the character!
  • Bruno (Encanto): We don’t talk about this one… jk! A simple green poncho will create the look for this iconic character.
  • Cinderella: Focus on accessorizing with a basic light blue dress that has a princess feel to it. Add a pair of white gloves for an elegant look.
  • Venelope (Wreck-it-Ralph): You just need a green hoodie, black shirt, and a pink bow hairpiece to look like this cute character. Don’t forget the little hairdo!
  • Pooh: A red crop top with yellow pants will look help you get the look. You can also add a headpiece with bear ears too (or something similar) and find a jar to label it “Hunny”.
  • Woody (Toy Story); If you have a cowboy hat and boots, you can pair it with a yellow plaid (or button up shirt) but you’ll also need a similar-looking vest.
  • Prince Eric (The Little Mermaid): A white button up with blue pants with get you started on this simple costume. Find a unique way to add in some red and match the hairstyle of this prince.

Keep in mind that you can simply accessorize to create a new costume (as seen in the image). Many local stores bring out basic costumes accessories, such as pirate hats, wands, tiaras, capes, and more.
