Even though it’s still technically winter (in the Northern Hemisphere), we’re already approaching Spring Break in some areas. So why is it called “Spring Break” if it’s still winter?
Well, it is a week-long break for students during their spring semester, hence the name. It typically takes place in the middle of the semester, giving students a break from their classes, sometimes right after midterms. It somewhat equals out to the holidays students have off for Thanksgiving and Christmas during the winter semester.

When is Spring Break?
Spring Break generally occurs in the month of March in the U.S. When exactly it takes place depends on the school,
Some schools set this week in the middle of the month, while others set it right before Easter. Schools in Europe typically follow this as well, though this can vary depending on location. Most schools give students one week off, while others may provide up to two weeks!
