Happy Easter! You might have noticed the Easter holiday is filled a certain types of colorful tones. Easter commonly makes use of pastel colors. So what are pastels?

When you’re talking about painting, pastels, or oil pastels, are the materials used to create the unique texture as they are in a stick form and are mixed with oils known as a binder. Pastels can also simply represent color.
Pastels are colors that are typically light, though they vary in the actual hue. They’re not as saturated as other bolder colors. They tend to have a soft shade, such as a baby blue, mauve, light pink, or mint green color. Notice the colors in the image. These pastel tones blend together to create a piece of art commonly seen for Easter.
